Welcome to the wonderful world of podfic! :D Although I’m not super involved in Supernatural fandom outside of enjoying the occasional fic or gifset, Destiel podfic is probably the area of fandom that I engage with the most! I’ve listened to a truly ridiculous number of Destiel podfics — mostly because Fay Jay started recording them, and her voice is basically porn to me. Fay Jay is a podfic gateway drug, I swear.
Another great thing about podfic is that it introduces you to fics you wouldn’t necessarily have clicked on otherwise; this has been particularly true for Destiel podfics for me!
So without much ado, here are a few of my favourite Destiel podfics:
The Consequences of Falling (mp3/mp4b/text) written and read by Fay Jay (AO3/Tumblr/Audiofic Archive): In which the angel Castiel finds himself put in an untenable position, and consequentially loses his grace. In which he goes on a roadtrip with a demon, discovers the delights of tequila and french fries and pie, plays a starring role in a virgin sacrifice, is deflowered by his favourite Winchester, and then gets some very unpleasant news indeed. (NC-17, 4:03:52. Potentially my favourite audiofic in the entire fandom.)
Let Him Kiss Me With The Kisses Of His Mouth (mp3/mp4b/text) written and read by Fay Jay (AO3/Tumblr/Audiofic Archive). Being a response to the following prompt:After running away from demons’ trap, Dean and Cas hide in a church. Sadly, Asmodai, demon of lust, knows exactly where they are and casts a spell on the church. And things get a bit… hot inside. For Dean, anyway. Dean/Castiel. First time. under-a-spell!Dean fucking virgin!Cas. Rough sex, may be a bit bloody, Dean fucking Castiel from behind with Cas leaning on the altar. Bonus points if Cas pleads Dean to stop at first and then comes to really, REALLY enjoy it. (NC-17, 0:43:20, extreme dub-con/non-con. I should probably be ashamed of how many times I have listened to this. It’s fucked up and painful and glorious in the extreme.)
And I Will Walk on Water (mp3/mp4b/text) written by Tracy Loo Who (AO3) and read by Liannabob (AO3/Audiofic Archive): This fic is set after season 4 and totals ~122,600 words. It’s a story about friendship and love, recovery and trust, free will, and Dean and Castiel’s journey through it all. It’s also about chocolate and hugs. (NC-17, 11:16:51. Warning for past torture and non-con. Gorgeous focus on the shifting relationship between Dean and Cas in the wake of Season Four.)
I Love the Bones of You (mp3/mp4b/text) written by Fleshflutter (LJ) and read by Fay Jay (AO3/Tumblr/Audiofic Archive): Dean has been missing for three days. (PG-13, 00:30:13. Bittersweet and melancholy and lovely.)
And I Wake Up Blind, Like My Dreams Were Too Bright (mp3/mp4b/text) written by Strangenessandcharm (DW) and read by Fay Jay (AO3/Tumblr/Audiofic Archive): So what’s a guy to do when he wakes up and finds that his angel’s gone a bit wrong? (PG-13, 01:56:42. In which Castiel loses his memory and spends several months in a psychiatric ward. Told from Jimmy Novak’s perspective.)

Peanut Butter-Pumpkin Wedding Cake (mp3/mp4b/text) written by Sparseparsley (AO3/LJ/) and read by Exmanhater (AO3/Tumblr/Audiofic Archive): Dean is a waiter in a strip club to put his kid brother through school. Castiel is dragged to the club as a part of his sister Anna’s bachelorette party. Dean and Cas hit it off, but Dean thinks Cas is the one marrying Anna. (NC-17, 2:51:59. Misunderstandings and cuteness in the extreme.)
Control (mp3/mp4b/text) written and read by Fay Jay (AO3/Tumblr/Audiofic Archive):Written for the kink meme prompt: “Castiel/Dean Smith (Episode 4x17) After Dean spanks Castiel over his desk for making a typing mistake, he then makes him pull down his trousers and fucks him. (Just watched ‘Secretary’ and loved it.)” (NC-17, 1:25:59, heavy BDSM themes. Not the sort of thing I usually listen to, but extremely intense and compelling.)
