If you ever find yourself having to pretend to be something you’re not in order to keep someone, they probably aren’t worth your time.  It can be a hard lesson to learn, but it’s one of the pieces of best pieces of advice I ever had to teach myself.

I always want people to feel safe asking me to blacklist things. It makes such a huge difference being able to customize your dash into something safe and yours, and I will always respect that.

I’m afraid not, no. Glee fandom was actually an incredibly stressful place for me: there was a lot of wank in the show as well as the fandom, and it’s a place I just can’t handle being anymore. I stopped watching, writing, and participating with Glee and Klaine almost a year ago now, and I really can’t see myself going back. It was way too stressful an environment for me.

I met some INCREDIBLE through Glee fandom, though, so it was definitely an experience worth having! <3 Some of my best tumblr friends are people I met through Glee! Sadly, it’s just really not the place for me anymore. 

Oh my goodness!! I’m so happy that you’re enjoying my blog, but more than anything I’m delighted that you decided to start watching Buffy!!!! And you’re in the middle of Season Three, oh my god. YOU HAVE SO MUCH AMAZING LEFT TO GO, YOU HAVE NO IDEA.

That’s just… I mean, I understand that sometimes the wage of a server will be slightly lower than the minimum wage to account for tips. It’s the same where I live in British Columbia, where minimum wage for liquor servers is $9.00/hr instead of the province-wide minimum wage of $10.25/hr. It kinda sucks, and it means you hope for good tips, but it usually winds up with servers still making quite a bit more per hour than those at general minimum wage. 

But fucking $3.50 per hour? What the fucking fuck? That’s so low it sounds like the punch line of some kind of joke. What about slow nights? What about when you spend most of a shift serving a big party that winds up tipping horribly? So many Americans have messaged me saying ‘no, that’s pretty normal’ that I’m almost frothing at the mouth with rage. 

So your education is more expensive, you have to pay for health insurance, and the people who are often in the most vulnerable positions are making three fucking fifty per hour without tips. How is it even fucking possible to function in the United States with such a low income?
